Kerala is named as one of the "ten paradises of the world" and "50 must see destination of a lifetime" by the National Geographic Traveller magazine. Kerala is a perfect tourist destination with its high mountains, gushing rivers, dense forests and the vast stretches of ocean. It is well known for its palm-fringed backwaters, sandy beaches, paddy fields, Ayurveda resorts, green hill ranges and tea estates, rainy forests, wildlife sanctuaries and rich cultural heritage. It is sandwiched between the Lakshadweep sea and the forested Western Ghats that define its border with Tamil Nadu to the east. Thus Kerala is an exotic mixture of nature's very best consisting of mountains, valleys, beautiful coastal areas and beaches.
